Nomadic VR offers hyper-reality experiences for leisure centers

A new company that aims to turn cinemas, recreational and leisure centers into attractions that offer experiences where the real and the virtual mix.

Nomadic, based in California, has presented a solution that offers adventures in virtual reality with scenarios that we can touch for cinemas, recreational and leisure centers. The company provides all the equipment, infrastructure, technology and content to create a virtual reality attraction where physical objects are part of the virtual world, thus achieving greater immersion. Nomadic VR it consists of modular components that allow easy reconfiguration, maintenance and updating for new content. Blurring the line between real and virtual is what this company pursues, formed by a team that counts among its ranks people who have worked on renowned sagas such as Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Pirates of the Caribbean and the Matrix.

“Our goal is simple, that everyone comes out saying wow!”, comments Doug Griffin, CEO of Nomadic. “Nomadic’s modular VR solution gives any partner anywhere in the world the opportunity to offer their customers an unprecedented entertainment experience. Users interact with the physical scenarios and encounter effects in the environment that bring the narrative to life.” The company will hold its first public demo at the CinemaCon held in Las Vegas on March 28.
