We have found this curious experience that seeks funding on Kickstarter. Nuren The New Renaissance is a kind of music video in virtual reality, something that we could see much more frequently in the coming years when VR is implemented.
Nuren is a collection of music videos that form a complete story, presented in virtual reality. Unlike traditional 3D movies, Nuren is rendered in real time using Unreal Engine 4, so we can look in any direction and see what’s happening around us. Each segment has a different artistic style, with its own musical track and various narrated interludes that communicate the segments and shape the story. You can download a demo of the first segment here, it has not worked for us in extended mode but in direct mode.
Nuren combines the influence of such diverse sources as Fantasia, Space Channel 5, TRON, Ghost in the Shell, Pink Floyd’s “The Wall”, Animatrix and the classic PC demo scene. Dancing robot girls, synchronized lights, huge landscapes, starry skies… By the way, one of the collaborators is Justin Moravetz, a well-known developer of experiences for Oculus Rift and Gear VR such as Proton Pulse and Vanguard V.

The campaign ends on March 16 and the experience will be finished in March of next year, as long as they reach the $70,000 they are looking for. For $10 we will get a download code when it is finished.
