It seems that the idyll between Oculus and Samsung is going on for a long time. In addition to the fact that the Korean giant is going to provide Oculus with screens for its future devices and apart from Gear VR, Brendan Iribe claims that there will be more products developed jointly by both companies. At the moment there are no more concrete details, but it is clear that there is a good understanding between the two sides.
“We will work side by side with Samsung to develop more products,” Iribe said at the third Startup Nations Summit held in Seoul. “We have launched Gear VR with great success together with Samsung this year and I am sure that we will continue to maintain a close relationship.” We would not talk so clearly about having launched Gear VR, among other things because, today, the only thing that can be done is to sign up on a Samsung page that will give us information about availability soon, and only if we reside in the United States. In any case, it is very good that there is an understanding between Samsung and Oculus, since the one founded by Palmer Luckey depends enormously on other manufacturers for its products.
