Orange launched in the Omsk Metro Ethernet network| 05.06.2009
On Friday, 5 June, Orange Business Services announced the launch of its multiservice network in Omsk.
According to the operator, in the course of the project to create the named network Metro Ethernet he made in Omsk 15 km fiber-optic cable. Also, the city was established four reserved node.
The capacity was 125 high-speed ports allowing you to connect with customers on the technology of packet switching at the level of FastEthernet and GEthernet. Network management is carried out
centrally from the control Center by a network of Orange Business Services in Moscow.
In Omsk on the basis of its network, the company intends to provide local services to customers create a managed corporate IP VPN networks, video conferencing, convergence of fixed and mobile communications,
for management, monitoring and optimization of telecommunications infrastructure.
The company also notes that this year she plans to upgrade their fixed networks Metro Ethernet in Rostov-on-don and Nizhny Novgorod.
