Movistar has presented “Piloto 360”, the first virtual reality experience on mobile that allows the user to feel, in first person and from any point of view, what it means to be a MotoGP™ rider.
“Piloto 360” allows fans of this sport to have the opportunity to become a rider of the Movistar Yamaha MotoGP team. A unique experience that invites you to live a day within the Movistar team, access the box, meet its technicians and drive at the controls of the Yamaha YZR M1, training alongside Jorge Lorenzo.
The application has two versions, the first one that will allow you to move the mobile in all directions, offering the user the possibility, among many others, to turn to listen as Jorge Lorenzo challenges him to a race in the box, or look back while driving at more than 200 kilometers per hour. And a second very innovative one, where the fan will also be able to have a more real experience thanks to the special glasses “Oculus Rift”, a device that Movistar will distribute during the weekend at the Valencia Grand Prix, on November 8 and 9.
The project was launched coinciding with the last Grand Prix of the MotoGP™ World Championship at the Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana, with the aim that fans can continue enjoying with Movistar all the excitement of motorcycling after the end of the season.
For this, Movistar has created the web www.piloto360.es where you can watch the different videos of the communication campaign that Movistar has launched in recent weeks, as well as the making off of the action and find the download links of the free application “Piloto360”, available for iOS and Android.
This initiative, a pioneer in the world of mobile technology, has had the collaboration of the Movistar Yamaha MotoGP team, Dorna, and the Wysiwyg digital agency.
