The PSVR company will provide development and training teams for students to acquire real and practical knowledge.
PlayStation Spain signed today the collaboration agreement with the CEU University San Pablo announced in May last year. In this way, the school will offer its students of the Higher Polytechnic School the possibility of obtaining a Own Virtual Reality Title. Sony will be responsible for providing spaces enabled with all the necessary VR material so that students can practice the knowledge acquired.
“This agreement is an excellent opportunity for students who want to gain knowledge in the world of immersive technologies. Virtual reality is a booming tool, which is going to change the way we communicate, interact and learn and that is making its way into multiple fields such as medicine or architecture, which move away from the merely playful. From PlayStation it is always an honor to support, contribute and boost young talent with this type of agreements”, says Jorge Huguet, marketing director of PlayStation Iberia.
Antonio Calvo, rector of CEU San Pablo University, points out the importance of such agreements that allow closer collaboration between the university and the business world. The initiative is part of the PlayStation Talents development programme.
The degree, which lasts between four and five years and consists of two specializations (development and art), can be taken by students of the Degrees in Architecture, Computer Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering and Biomedical Engineering in a schedule compatible with their university degree classes. The final degree project will be led by VR professionals.
