Power management in windows 7
Here is a guide on how to control the power functions in Windows 7, so that you get just the right power management model. The power features of Windows 7 are confusingly similar to those you had in Windows XP. But it may be you want to change the settings on your laptop, or change the sleep / Sleep Mode on your work computer. Below is a guide on how to do it.
1. Start by typing “power management“in the search box and press “Enter key”
2. Now the power functions start so, here you can choose from 3 different power management models. Balanced, Power Saving, high performance.
3. Click “Specify when the computer should sleep“to the left.
4. Here you can see that I am running on the power management land called “Balanced“, here I can choose when to turn off screen etc. but remember that it is only for the plan I chose at the beginning.
5. Now go back to the first window again, here you can choose one of the ones I have framed in red.
6. Here you can choose what happens when you press “Turn off the button” etc. You can also choose if there should be code on, smart if it might be a work computer.
