The creators of the PrioVR sensor system announce that the plans are to send the suits to those who supported the Kickstarter campaign during the last months of this year. The industrial design phase is pending only the final signature, and from there it will take about three months to obtain the first samples and start mass manufacturing.
At the moment they are already sending beta suits to some select developers, and they are trying to modify the design to manufacture them in larger quantities so that we all have more experiences prepared for when we receive ours in a few months. One of those experiences will be Technolust, as we showed a few days ago. It is a first-person title based on the cyberpunk universe that, in principle, could be ready for the DK2 within a few days.
On the other hand, the SDK has been completely restructured and will be totally open, from the transmission protocol between the driver and the suit to the low-level orientation APIs and the skeletal APIs. It will be available very soon for developers who have beta suits, so that they can start the integration as soon as possible.
