On February 21, an independent chapter of the Psychonauts saga created for virtual reality will be released on PlayStation VR and will serve as a prequel to Psychonauts 2.
Double Fine Productions has announced the release date of Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin, a title that continues the story of the first game that was released more than 10 years ago, and that acts as a prequel to the second installment that continues in development. In this new first-person adventure we will take control of Raz, an intrepid young physicist who is now a member of an elite group of international physical secret agents, known as the Psychonauts. We will use our physical powers to affect the world and solve puzzles. The power of clairvoyance will allow us to see through the eyes of others and explore the environment, telekinesis move objects and pyrokinesis set them on fire. Below you can see a stereoscopic trailer in 360º of the game that we can also play with the recent update of the YouTube application on PlayStation VR.
Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin takes us on a mission to rescue Truman Zannotto, the great boss of Psychonauts. We will go straight to the heart of Rhombus of Ruin, a mysterious part of the ocean as deadly as two Bermuda Triangles. There we will be captured and forced to use our physical powers to rescue our friends, reveal the identity of the mysterious kidnapper and free Truman before the madness of the Rhombus consumes our minds. On February 21, it will be available on PlayStation VR.
