Quick start of old games with dosbox

Here is a Danish guide to quick start of old games with Dosbox. There are many who want the game even starts when they run Dosbox. Such that they should not sit and write “mount k c: game”, etc. You can call it an easy way, or quick start of your old game with Dosbox.

1. Start by walking in “start“, then find all your programs and select “DosBox”. Now you need to choose “Configuration“and then “Edit Configuration”.

2. Now it starts notepad, here you need to drive all the way to the bottom and find the line where it says “[autoexec]”. Here you should then put “mount k c:spil” and “k:“in, in the same way as below. Now it should mount the drive automatically when you start Dosbox.

3. In the picture below, you can see that it even mouter the drive and goes in. So it worked perfectly.

4. If you then want to start a game automatically, you can then do as in the picture below. Then it will start that game every time you start Dosbox, but if you only use Dosbox for one game, that’s fine.
