Flippfly’s air racing game, released in 2014, will have a free update that will be available on April 18 and will add support for PlayStation VR and the new Sunrise mode.
Flippfly it has announced the arrival in the coming weeks of a free update for the PlayStation 4 version of its game Race the Sun, a racing title that the company launched in 2014 after achieving a successful Kickstarter campaign. The new update will allow you to play the full game with PlayStation VR, activating the VR mode from the menu, and will also add new game modes such as Sunrise that is designed for us to enjoy and relax without worrying about achieving the highest score. Up to 5 new destinations will be added that we can discover through portals that will change daily. Finally, Race the Sun will have a first-person mode through which to cross the skies and that we can activate from the menu or by pressing the square button of the gamepad. Flippfly comments that most players who have tried it find it a more comfortable mode than the default third-person view.
In Race the Sun, we take control of a solar-powered ship. We will have to rush towards the sunset at breakneck speed in a futile race against time, delaying the inevitable with the capture of speed boosters that reverse the sunset, if only for a moment. The shadows will make our ship go slower and we will die if the sun goes down or we crash. Race the Sun is inspired by arcade games of the past, focusing on getting high scores with short game sessions and pure fun mixed with a stressful tension. The rules are simple: do not crash, stay in the light and do not slow down. Race the Sun is already available on the PlayStation Store for €8.99, but the free update lands on April 18.
