Remove the write protection on Windows files
Here’s a guide on how to remove the write protection on your files or folders in Windows. It may be you are trying to delete or rename your files / folders, and therefore receive a message that it is not possible as it is read-only. Unfortunately, in many cases it is not possible to explain why they have suddenly become Read-Only, but fortunately there is an easy solution to the problem.
1. Start by right-clicking on your file or folder, and then click “Features”
2. Now comes the picture below, here you need to remove the check mark in “Read only“and then press “OK”
