Enhance Games received last night the award for the best virtual reality game at the Game Awards 2016 for its title Rez Infinite compatible with PlayStation VR.
Virtual reality is making its way this year in the third edition of the The Game Awards with a new category to the best VR game. Among the nominees were Batman: Arkham VR (Rocksteady studios/WBIE), EVE: Valkyrie (CCP Games), Job Simulator (Owlchemy Labs), Thumper (Drool), and Rez Infinite (Enhance Games) which was the one that won the award. Almost all of them are PlayStation VR titles with the exception of EVE: Valkyrie and Job Simulator, although Thumper is expected to add support for SteamVR soon.
Rez Infinite is a remastered version of the Rez game with support for PlayStation VR. It is a third-person shooter in which we will have to eliminate waves of enemies and bosses, while generating colors and sounds with our movements that are synchronized and mixed to the rhythm of the techno soundtrack of the game. In the case of having PlayStation 4 Pro, the game will work at the native resolution of the viewer, so we will get a higher quality.
