SAP, the world leader in solutions for managing any size business, held a press conference, during which it was announced the growth plan and
business development in Russia and the CIS for the next 5 years.
Plans SAP AG business development in Russia, told journalists the President of EMEA, SAP AG Frank Cohen, who visited Moscow in the course of his working trip to Russia and the CIS, and
Director General of SAP CIS, Igor Bogachev. Frank Cohen noted that the SAP business in Russia and the CIS is developing steadily and successfully are an example of the results of 2010: SAP CIS became
best SAP EMEA + India, finishing in 3rd place in the world the results of operations. In Russia today, presents all the basic range of SAP solutions, and Russian language
since 2011 was among the major languages localization software SAP. According to IDC, SAP is the leader of the Russian market of business solutions with a share of 50.5%.
Frank Cohen elaborated on the structure planning SAP AG investment in business development in Russia and the CIS, including the expansion of localization of SAP solutions for Russia, Ukraine and
Kazakhstan, the development of innovative technologies (mobility, in-memory, on-demand), training and professional services. Plan business growth of SAP in the CIS up to 2015 was adopted
at the meeting of the Board of Directors of SAP AG, for the first time in the history of the company was held in Russia (St. Petersburg, 12-13 July).
“The plan of our colleagues from SAP CIS combines ambitious targets and accurate calculations. Supporting this plan, the Board of Directors also reaffirmed its support and a deep understanding of innovation
transformations in the Russian economy. We are pleased that the SAP experience will be in demand in Russia in the era of change, and are confident that it will be effective”, – said the President of EMEA, SAP AG Frank
Cohen.
The main sources of growth of SAP business in Russia and CIS named:
innovative technology: mobile technology, mobility, cloud and high speed computing (HANA);
– expanding the company’s presence in CIS countries;
– business development in strategic for SAP CIS industries (banks, public sector etc.);
– the development and deepening of relations with the largest companies in the region;
– significant expansion of work with high growth businesses (SMBS).
Speaking about the plans for the development of the Russian office, Igor Bogachev identified the following key areas of growth:
– significant increase in staff (from 700 to 1300), including a doubling of the number of support staff;
targeted investment in significant expansion of the ecosystem (from 6000 to 20 000 consultants in the market) and training of employees;
– the growth and development of the consulting division of SAP (increased focus on new market solutions, an increase in consulting Department in the regions, expanding the range of preconfigured
solutions);
– the opening of Russia’s first Centre for research and development SAP (SAP Lab).
