Setting up the Linksys access point WAP610N
Here you have a Danish guide to setting up the Linksys WAP610N. Linksys WAP610N is a wireless access point called wireless internet. Wireless internet is used to get on the internet via one’s laptop or mobile phone, and is free as there is already paid. Below is how to set up your access point via the cd that comes with it, it can also be done via a browser.
1. First you need to put your access point to the network, then you need to put the cd that comes with your access point. Now comes the image below, click “Start Setup”.
2. Click “Next”.
3. Check the box “I accept this agreement”.
4. Now it searches for your Linksys access point on the network.
5. Once it has found your access point, select a code to log into it through a browser. Mouse click “Next”
6. Now it saves your new password.
7. Now it needs a name. The name you choose here is the one you can find when searching for wireless networks. click “Next“once you have chosen the name.
8. Now you have to choose which security you want to apply, I have chosen the best one. The only reason you shouldn’t do that is if you have an old computer that can’t use the latest security technology.
9. Then you need to select a code, that is the code that you need to type when you log on to it. Choose a code that you can remember, do not write “Password” or “Koderd” etc. since it is too easy to find.
10. Now it stores a copy of the information you have entered in your access point on your desktop, so you easily find it for another time.
11. Now it’s set up, click “Finish“and you’re driving.
