Small aircraft of Russia comes under the control of GLONASS| 18.05.2012
For the first time in Russia in order to ensure safety and improve flight control, passing at different altitudes, the court of General aviation are equipped with GLONASS equipment. The Company “Viskort”
(regional partner of the group of companies “M2M telematics” in the Volgograd region), is implementing a project on introduction of navigation technologies in Aviapark companies “Agrolit and Regionavia”.
At the moment navigation and communication equipment is equipped with 30 aircraft an-2, Snipe, and W-1A “bumblebee”. Court of small aviation companies “Agrolit and Regionavia” carry out aerial chemical
work on the preparation of farmland for planting, desiccation, and destruction of pests and weeds. The aircraft entered the dry fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides
the agricultural territory of Russia, Kazakhstan and Kalmykia.
“GLONASS technology help us to improve planning and fleet management, optimize logistics processes within the company. At any point in time from his workplace
I can see where a particular aircraft and, if necessary, to give operational guidance. Fully established control over the work of the crew, noted flight Director of the company
“Regionalia” Oleg Soloviev. – We work with our producers and neighboring regions. Fields in the Volgograd region are many, and often the border between them is on dirt roads
of a width not exceeding meters. The result is quite difficult to understand which site in a specific period of time the work is carried out. Thanks to the navigation solutions we have
a full evidence base. Our work can be evaluated on the basis of provided customers tracks the movement of aircraft”.
Equally important is safety. In addition to navigation and communications equipment, the cockpit is equipped with an alarm button. In the case of an emergency situation Manager
gets the exact coordinates of the vessel and can quickly cause emergency services to the scene. Two-way communication with the pilot control is carried out through
a dedicated radio channel.
“At low altitudes, in some areas there is a loss of VHF communications, and if the ship does not communicate, I can track his location using the GLONASS system and make sure everything works
a regular mode”, – said Oleg Soloviev.
