The last few years have marked the rebirth of Sonic, everyone’s favorite blue hedgehog. New movies, an ambitious 3D game very soon to be released and a Netflix series are in our recent memory and today we can finally take a better look at the animated show.
SEGA and Netflix shared this day the 1st. official teaser of Sonic Prime, an animated series that has been in development for a while now. In the video we can see Sonic and Shadow competing, as well as Big the Cat and of course Doctor Eggman Robotnik who presumably will be the villain. In addition, we can also hear for the first time Deven Mack, who will provide his voice to Sonic.
The teaser also reveals that the animated series will premiere this 2022 holiday season, so we can expect it at some point in November or December.
This is the official description of Sonic Prime:
“The 24-episode animated (Sonic) adventure for children, families and veteran fans builds on the pillars of the brand and features the Blue Blur so famous from video games, now in a high-speed adventure where the fate of a strange new multiverse rests in his gloved hands. Sonic’s adventure is more than a race to save the universe, it’s a journey of self-discovery and redemption.”
