Human Interact is using Microsoft’s cognitive voice recognition services for its new title Starship Commander, a science fiction game for virtual reality.
Human Interact it is a company created in 2016 by Emmy-winning producer and creative director Alexander Mejia, which prepares Starship Commander, his first game in which we will interact through our voice. Since it uses made-up words and place names, the company has chosen to use the personalized voice services it offers Microsoft, making the virtual characters understand what the players are saying. Offering a combination that elevates immersion thanks to the natural language processing.
Starship Commander puts us in the middle of a science fiction story as part of an army embroiled in a dark intergalactic war. We will be in command of a secret mission where our decisions will have deadly consequences. Using Microsoft’s voice recognition services, players will interact with the characters in the same way as in the real world, using their natural language to ask them questions and express their thoughts.
The announcement of the game does not mention anything about other languages, so we do not know if it will be playable in Spanish. Starship Commander is currently in development for the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, and its release date has not been announced.
