With the new long-term support version of SonarQube, SonarSource guarantees full support and security patches for the next 18 months. For better team options, the manufacturer has ensured close integration with the DevOps platforms of GitHub, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps and GitLab.
Hardened Docker images, Kubernetes Helm Chart and hot DB backups ensure secure and robust enterprise operation. The manufacturer promises a fast, precise SAST analysis through an improved detection engine. It supports the programming languages Java, C#, PHP, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C and C++.
At the same time , SonarSource has announced the SonarLint v4.34 plug-in for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019. This provides a new JavaScript analyzer and thus various JavaScript rules that were not previously available for Visual studio users. The rules can be set using settings.simply enable and disable json file.
C++users should benefit from the fact that SonarLint now supports C++-20 compilation with the compilation option “/std:c++latest”. In addition, SonarSource has added three new rules for C++ 20.
