Despite the fact that Steam is really valid as a computer video game store, its application is quite outdated. After all, it is an app that came out a long time ago and Valve had never worried about modernizing it… so far.
Through a publication, Valve confirmed that a few days ago a new Steam app was already in circulation, which had a total redesign and which makes it live up to the standards expected today, both visually and functionally. According to the company, you’ll still be able to browse the store, get Steam Guard codes, and confirm trades, but now the app offers QR code login, smarter notifications, an improved library, and multi-account support.
Valve explained that the new Steam app is still in Beta, because it is important to receive feedback on its operation before launching it to the public, considering that it has to serve well on hundreds of different devices.
The publication mentions that in order to access the Beta from iOS you must use TestFlight and included instructions to access it. And although Android is not mentioned, at Qore we can confirm that we already have it available, which means that the new version is available for the new operating systems. This is what it looks like on Android:
Little by little, Valve will be adding more people to the Beta until it finally launches it worldwide.
