Thuringia’s largest university has purchased two treadmills connected to height-adjustable desks, as Jana Kampe, who is responsible for health management at the university, said on request. Unlike in gyms, the treadmills are not powered by electricity, but started with your own body movement.
According to the information, the university has invested a good 10,000 euros in the acquisition. The treadmills are an offer to promote the health of students and employees, it said. It has been available in the university and state library, which is used by many people, since the beginning of the spring semester. “We are now testing how this will be accepted,” Kampe said.
