Cisco declares that the equipment imported illegally — it is not covered by the warranty and it cannot be taken for maintenance. However, according to customs data, the “hardware” was
produced in the factory of Cisco Systems, is original and in Russia was legally.
This is not the first criminal case involving the supply of hardware Cisco. In 2019, the contractor of “Rosenergoatom” could not put made in the USA and legally imported to Russia
equipment. The Russian office of the vendor reported that it was not authorized and is not subject to warranty.
Conflict with the supply of equipment in Cisco Russia is allowed quite simple. The company sells its equipment through authorized partners, all shipped products
intended for the Russian market. However, some dishonest partners Cisco imported equipment manufactured for other markets, such as China. In this case, it will be
to work in Russia, but it is impossible to supply to warranty and service — Cisco partneram will track the path of products from the factory to the buyer and detects a violation of the partnership
agreement. It probably happened when the building of the Perm regional court.
Network equipment was purchased by the contractor from OOO “Prompostavka” — this company is an authorized partner of “Cisco level”. Who has purchased products — is unknown. It
therefore, “Sisko Hyperion” sent a letter to the Perm regional court and announced that according to the database of Cisco, 303 units of the “iron” are illegally imported, and three have
invalid serial numbers. On illegally imported Cisco equipment does not extend the right to use the software, warranty and service support of the vendor.
Thus, the contractor has built the object, but cannot take it. Cost missed customer “iron” is 44.9 million rubles.
