The Ubisoft shooter expected this year appears on the US content rating page with PS4 support.
The card of Space Junkies of the ESRB, the American system for the classification of video game content, shows that Ubisoft’s new virtual reality title will be compatible with PS4, which would mean that it could be played with PSVR, as it is an exclusive VR game. It is possible that this is a bug by the ESRB, since, since Space Junkies was introduced, the company has always made it clear that it would only be compatible with PC due to the features of the game, although its delay to 2019 could mean a change in this aspect, in order to reach as many users as possible.
In November of last year, Ubisoft shared that Space Junkies would delay its release to 2019 in order to improve the game thanks to all the feedback received during the different beta phases they performed. “In the last few months, we have been conducting a number of live phases. Thanks to these tests and your feedback, we’ve been able to work on the fine-tuning of Space Junkies and have lots of ideas on how to improve the player experience. Space Junkies will be released now in 2019. This new release deadline will ensure that we deliver on our promise to create the best VR FPS in microgravity, ” they said.
Space Junkies is a multiplayer shooter in zero gravity that has several game modes (deathmatch, team deathmatch and king), being possible to face each other in two-on-two combats.
At the moment there is no official news from Ubisoft, so it’s time to continue waiting for them to announce the release date and share some news such as that possible compatibility with the Sony viewer, in addition to the cross-platform support characteristic of all their multiplayer VR games.
