Thotwise Games, in charge of Ariel Arias, rethinks the future of The Hum and announces The Hum: Abductions, a prequel to the universe of The Hum in development for PC, MAC and PlayStation 4, and that will be released in the third quarter of this year with support for Oculus Rift.
A few months ago, Ariel Arias stated his intention to move forward with the development of The Hum despite cancel the crowdfunding campaign, but recently, after passing to be three persons in the ranks of Thotwise Games, have decided to start with a smaller project and achievable for the current development team. This does not mean that The Hum has been canceled, but that they will start with this prequel to show us the great universe of The Hum.
Abductions is a first-person horror game, in which we take the role of Holly Sanders, a mother and wife who is living a few hard days since her husband mysteriously disappeared months ago. Alone and with her son Dan as the only company, she will have to reveal events of the past and present of the Sanders family while facing a terrible relief that is approaching. Like the original The Hum, Abductions is being developed with the Unreal Engine 4 engine and soon there will be a playable demo of it.
