As we commented last month, the NBA has reached an agreement with Samsung to offer basketball games in 360º from its Milk VR platform. The recent All Star match has been filmed by BigLook360 and will be coming to Samsung’s HMD soon.
All the events of the weekend have been recorded, including the dunk and triple competitions. As we read in Phandroid, we will not be able to enjoy the full event in 360º, but we will be able to enjoy the most interesting moments. It is to be hoped that in the future this system will evolve and live matches can be experienced, but as they say, to run you first have to learn to walk.
Unfortunately, the MilkVR application is not available in Europe, however through a VPN software like Hola it is possible to bypass this restriction, although probably the speed suffers and that affects the quality of the experience.
