Just a few days before its official launch during the Geneva Motor Show, Renault’s new electric 5 already has a long waiting list.
50 thousand interested parties are already on the waiting list to buy the new Renault 5. According to the brand, orders will be taken in May and will be delivered in September or October of this year.
The 5 E-Tech will be available in three different electric motor configurations, offering 70 kW, 90 kW or 110 kW of power, and its maximum battery size of 52 kWh will offer a range of up to 400 km. It can even tow a trailer with a capacity of up to 500 kg.
The Renault 5 will also be available with a smaller 40 kWh battery, with a range of 300 km that will be launched in a few months.
It seems that the real battle for the who’s who in electrics will take place with the smaller models,
