Petal, the fan that connects to the PC, has not achieved its goal on Kickstarter, however its creator does not give up. The project was not presented in the most appropriate way and the price (especially shipping costs) did not help either, but the creator’s intention is to return to the load at the end of the year, when he thinks that there will be more demand for this type of peripherals as the DK2 is more settled.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this project. We have found that there is interest, in many cases even enthusiasm! Although we have not achieved our goal in this campaign, we wanted to send a message to those who have supported us: this has just begun. The Kickstarter campaign has attracted a lot of attention, and this has allowed us to hire more developers. We have also received many comments and opinions that will help us make a much better Petal. Stay tuned, our plan is to relaunch the project in the fourth quarter of 2014, where there will be more demand for third-party virtual reality devices.
We hope that the relaunch goes well and that they have learned from the mistakes, we think that this device can be interesting and bring a plus of realism in certain types of games, but they need to lower the price and achieve more support at the software level for people to consider it. Only 140 people have supported the campaign and they need a lot more if they want to achieve something relevant. Best of luck to the Petal team.
