The application, which was created to bring culture and the institution closer to all audiences, has new scenes in its repertoire.
Royal Theatre VR, an application resulting from the collaboration between the institution and Samsung, has received two new contents with which to immerse ourselves in different scenes of two of the works represented during the 2017-2018 season of the Teatro Real: The bohème, by Giacomo Puccini, and Street SceneKurt Weill.
La bohème makes us a member of the group of Bohemian artists, witnessing the tragic love story of Rodolfo and Mimì and the intense activity of a production that “exposes the frenetic activity of the stage”. Street Scene, for its part, takes us to the suburbs of post-war New York, in an atmosphere of broken dreams but also of hope, where this American opera takes place close to the musical of the composer Kurt Weill.
These two contents are added to the option of” A walk through the Theater”, which runs through spaces of the Royal Theater that the public can not normally access, and the play Madama Butterfly by Giacomo Puccini, which allows you to live the story of the geisha Cio-Cio-San.
Teatro Real VR is available on the Oculus store with compatibility for Gear VR and Go. Samsung shares that the application has had a great reception by the public with downloads in more than 100 countries.
