Vigo developer Fguillotine creates a version of his first VR title for Go and Gear VR, and to celebrate it gives away 10 keys.
Fguillotinecreator of Padde Ride Experience, he has released his second title on the Oculus mobile platform: the retro shooter Wrong Voyage Ex, which is very similar to the version of Cardboard he released in 2016. Among the novelties of this ” Ex ” edition, we find new levels, enemies and mechanics, as well as a greater optimization, which makes the game work at 72 Hz with almost the native resolution of the Go viewer.
“The game in essence is very similar to the Cardboard version, with some new levels and enemies, and some new mechanics, like the gun is now overheating, but it’s still very simple. Of course, the whole game is much more optimized, and in general I think it looks very sharp in Go, even being a very retro game. The lighting has also changed a lot, and the music is new (made by me), ” says José Luis (Fguillotine).
Wrong Voyage EX is a first-person shooter that combines exploration and puzzles with a retro pixelated style. It features free movement and is compatible with the controller.
As for its plot, we read the following in its file:
After getting lost in the wrong levels for an eternity, I arrived in a new unknown area, where ancient constructions and technology meet for no reason. Again the same unanswered questions. Who had built this seemingly abandoned world? What was my role in all this? I have to find out…
We can acquire Wrong Voyage Ex for€ 1.99 in Oculus Store, although, as we anticipated, the first 10 who leave a comment indicating that they want to try it, will receive a game key. We also have available a free version compatible with Rift and Vive that released last year.
