A project of truly titanic dimensions arrives on IndieGoGo, and it is none other than the recreation of the mythical ship in Unreal Engine 4. Its creators have just published a demo that works on Oculus Rift.
Titanic Honor & Glory completely recreates the Titanic, including the voyage and sinking. The project is being carried out by a small group of developers and will offer us two game modes: free exploration and history. In the latter mode we will have to try to clear our name of the horrible crimes of which we are accused. We are on board the Titanic and the police are chasing us. We will be able to explore the ship inside and out, to the last corner, and we will have 5 days during which we will be able to interact with the rest of the passage and collect clues. We will have to fulfill our mission before the ship sinks, which happens in real time.
The campaign is very ambitious and its goal is to raise $ 250,000, although today they have barely raised 15% of the goal. We can try a playable demo that allows us to explore the ship and that works on Oculus Rift by modifying the INI files. On Reddit they have provided some modified inis so that the demo works without speed problems using the settings of the demo of the apartment in Paris.
