TopS BI automated purchasing activity of FGC UES| 03.09.2008
On Tuesday, September 2, the company TopS Business Integrator (TopS BI; included in the group “Systematics”) announced that completes the creation of a corporate information management system procurement
activities for Federal grid company of Unified energy system (FGC UES)*.
As follows from the official reports of the system integrator, this project aims to optimize the processes of procurement of equipment, works and services of third parties.
Control system procurement was established on the basis of software modules SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SAP SRM) and SAP Business Warehouse (SAP BW).
Approval TopS BI, with the help of the developed solution was able to automate the processes of planning, implementation and monitoring of the procurement:
– collecting needs of all departments and branches in the purchase of products, works and services (by types of activity);
– formation of annual comprehensive program (plan) of the procurement; approval and, if necessary, adjustments to the programme;
– formation of procurement procedures according to the approved annual plan (formalization of positions, formation of lots for the purchase, details of the items of the plan for procurement documentation);
– integration with leading electronic trading platform, which publishes the notice of procurement, collection and examination of applications, the formation of procurement documents;
– monitoring and analysis of execution of procurement plan (consolidation of information on procurement of all related systems, data analysis, plan/fact analysis of costs, analysis of proposals, execution control
contracts);
– formation of multi-level accountability in procurement processes.
In addition, for the automation of cross-cutting business processes and generation of consolidated reporting is the integration of the system of procurement management with automated
system of accounting and reporting (ASIO) based on SAP ERP, an automated system of management document flow (ACSM) on the EMC Documentum platform and other systems used by the customer in
now.
On approval the system integrator, the first release of the system (planning) has already been commissioned. It covers the Executive apparatus of Federal grid company in Moscow, all branches (more than 80
sites across Russia, hundreds of users), and companies BE “Network”.
Currently commissioning a second release of the system (procedures for the preparation, conduct and control procurement), completed work on application integration and implementation of the consolidated
reporting.
Financial details of the project were not disclosed.
*Recall in 2003 on the results of the tender, the FGC chose TopS BI General system integrator of the project on creation of corporate information system management.
