Ubisoft has shown a trailer with its games for virtual reality and has also confirmed the arrival of Trackmania Turbo to virtual reality for just a couple of weeks.
In this trailer we can see the four virtual reality games that Ubisoft is working on:
- Eagle Flight, now available on Oculus Rift and soon on HTC Vive and Playstation VR.
- Werewolves Within, which should be coming to all VR platforms soon.
- Star Trek Bridge Crew, finally delayed to March next year and also on all platforms.
- Trackmania Turbo, whose virtual reality support was announced in November last year and which is now confirmed to be released on November 8 on Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and PlayStation VR (recall that Trackmania 2 was compatible with the old Oculus SDKs and worked on the DK2).
Ubisoft is clearly betting on virtual reality in these first stages of the technology’s commercial life, and we hope that they will obtain a good performance with these first titles and this will encourage them to continue developing and innovating in a market whose possibilities have only just begun to be glimpsed. And by the way, let this serve as a motivation for other great developers who still prefer to look from the sidelines.
