Months before there was an editorial agreement for the title, the leaders of production, marketing, technology, art and audio of Tripwire helped in the development of Espire. This level of development support, beyond funding and distribution, has enabled the project to become a reality.
Espire 1: Virtual Reality it is a stealth and espionage title, inspired by titles such as Metal Gear Solid or GoldenEye 007, developed by the independent studio Digital Lode, which will be released in 2019 for most VR platforms.
The title aims to end dizziness with its new “VR within VR” motion system. Each time the player performs an artificial locomotion, the game world is reduced to the size of a floating tablet, with the Theatre Control visible in the player’s peripheral vision. This “RV within RV” system allows full and precise freedom of movement, maintains immersion and also eliminates dizziness for almost everyone. The Theatre Control is fully customizable to suit the level of comfort of the player, until it can be completely disabled for those players who are already comfortable moving in virtual reality.
