1 Jun Unity launches new tools for creating augmented reality, known as MARS.
Tools are in development for several years and are designed to simplify cross-platform development of reliable augmented reality project with Unity.

Create sophisticated data-centric applications visually with a custom window for the creators of AR, which includes tools and user interface, which give the ability to see, create prototypes, test, and visualize reliable app AR that will work in the real world.
Intellectual recognition in the real world
The query system provides applications with contextually relevant behavior based on the user’s environment. Get any type of data — detection of semantic objects, location data, map data, product data, and more — from any source, to include it in your AR experience.
Responsive visual authoring
System procedural authorship uses a proxy to represent real objects, conditions and actions as the basis.
Test in the Unity editor
Test your AR experience on numerous examples of indoor and outdoor spaces, without the need for real data on hand, or physically checking the experience in each real-world environment in which you want your application to work.
“Fuzzy authentication”
Use gizmos for “fuzzy authorization” to determine the minimum and maximum measurements for real objects and not to code accurate measurement.
Multi-platform development environment AR
Create your experience once and deploy it to all platforms AR, including ARKit, ARCore, Magic Leap and Hololens, AR Foundation. AR Foundation is the preferred method for introducing real understanding of MARS.
AR applications face different design challenges compared to other games — for example, the playing space, which can vary considerably — so the new Unity’s tools are designed to facilitate the development of these types of considerations.
