Arca’s Path VR, the new game from independent studio Rebellion, arrives on all major VR platforms on December 4, 2018.
UPGRADE:
Rebellion and Dream Reality Interactive have published the daily video about the development of your game Arca’s Path. This first chapter (there will be a total of 4) invites us to learn more about the mechanics that will allow us to guide a ball with our head to overcome different puzzles, something for which they are inspired by classics such as Marble Madness.
ORIGINAL NEWS (24/09/2018):
British independent studio Rebellion has confirmed that Arca’s Path VR will be available for Viveport, which means it will be available on Vive Focus on the release date, in addition to PlayStation VR, Steam VR, Oculus Rift, Oculus Go, Gear VR and Windows Mixed Reality.
The new trailer sheds more light on what to expect from the game. In Arca’s Path VR, you don’t need a controller to play. To navigate the world and its maze of puzzles and challenges, you simply have to look where you want to go, and our digital avatar will roll in that direction.
Arca’s Path VR is being developed by Dream Reality Interactive, a London-based studio that creates immersive VR and AR experiences, such as PlayStation VR Worlds and the AR Wonderbook series of interactive books.
“The team has worked together to build this simple and accessible gameplay mechanic,” said Dr. Dave Ranyard, CEO of Dream Reality Interactive. “We wanted to do something that was really interesting, that everyone could play.”
“We are delighted to support Arca’s Path VR,” said Rebellion CEO Jason Kingsley. “With Battlezone we wanted to be innovative in the VR space, and with Arca’s Path, the DRI team is doing it too.”
In Arca’s Path VR we play as a girl who is in a beautiful new world. But as we wander down the road, the beauty around us begins to crumble and the road becomes more treacherous. Skill, instinct and awareness will help us navigate the path and find the way back home.
