ORIGINAL NEWS (13/03/2018):
Naviworks, a developer of military simulation and public security software, has announced the arrival of the next 30 april of Battle X: Birth of the Alliance, a first person shooter that will be optionally compatible with Rift, Vive and Windows MR. The South Korean company uses its experience to date to create a combat title with real weapons, equipment and vehicles.
Writer Susan O’Connor (BioShock or the recently announced Torn) will be in charge of shaping the story, which will feature actor Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers). Battle X is about an elite team of special forces on a mission to avert a political crisis. Our goal will be to defeat a well-funded private army and its biologically mutated monsters, which have been created by a biotechnological scientist who wants to enslave the planet with a dangerous pathogen.
The team has given no clues about locomotion options or other details, although judging from the previous trailer, it seems that there will be free movement, at least in the multiplayer section, since the campaign gives the feeling of going on rails.
Among its game modes, we find single player campaign, cooperative mode against an army of mutants, training mode and competitive multiplayer, where up to 16 players will face each other in the classic game in which one team plants a bomb and the other tries to avoid it.
Initially, it will come in early access to Steam, and its full version will be released later this year.
