The company has launched a new price reduction that will soon reach all countries where the Rift viewer is sold.

The package Rift + Touch from the official Oculus store it can now be purchased from Spain with the new permanent price of 399€. We still do not find it applied in Amazon Spain, although it is expected that it will arrive very soon.

Oculus it has confirmed to us that, indeed, the new permanent price of Oculus Rift in Spain will be 399€. “We are reducing the price in all the markets in which we currently sell Rift. The price reduction will take place gradually in these countries over the next week“, comment.

Oculus is applying to Rift one new permanent price drop in all the countries in which it is for sale, as confirmed by a spokesman of the company to UploadVR. However, the reduction is not yet available for Spain, where we continue to find the Rift + Touch package for € 449. As they comment, it should arrive “over the next week or so“. In the United States the new price is the one they had in the Black Friday offer, that is, 349 dollars, which means a decrease of 50 dollars. Therefore, we expect the new permanent price in Spain to be 399€, the same one you had in the last promotions.
This would be the fourth time that Oculus reduces the price of its Rift virtual reality viewer and the second that takes as a reference the price of its last offer, as happened in the summer of 2017 with the big discount to 449€ that gave rise to its last permanent reduction that they have maintained for more than a year. When Touch was released in December 2016, the purchase of the viewer and controllers came out for € 898, which dropped to€ 708 in March 2017,€ 549 in July 2017 and€ 449 in October 2017.
With this new move, the Oculus PC viewer will be 200€ below HTC Vive and 150 € above Lenovo Explorer.
