The update that adds virtual reality to Sega Mega Drive Classics is now available for PSVR, and everyone who already has the title can update it for free and enjoy many of Sega’s classics in the virtual room. It has the same features as the PC version.

Sepa he has released a free update for his game Sega Mega Drive & Genesis Classics in which the novelty of the virtual reality support, so from now on we can immerse ourselves with SteamVR in the virtual room to enjoy classics of the company’s 16-bit console. In addition to the possibility of playing in the retro room of the early 90s, we can also load the games to see them in full screen.
Among the various novelties, we found the online multiplayer for 2 players (already had the option in local), leaderboards, challenge modes for different titles, new filters and borders graphics, ROMs from other regions that have significant differences, fast forward and rewind of the game, option to turn off the limit of sprites, mirror mode for a new challenge, and support of Linux and Mac.
The game is available on Steam for€ 29.99, and comes standard with 59 classics such as Golden Axe, Streets of Rage and all Sonic installments. Coinciding with the update, the title has also been released for PS4, although it does not seem to have, in this case, VR support.
