Sound + D, a congress in the field of creative industries and which is part of the Sónar festival, will have this year a large presence of speakers related to the ecosystem of virtual reality. Among them will be Edu Pou, creative director of the American studio Here be Dragons; Jessica Brillhart, head of Google VR; Gabo Arora, creative director and founder of the VR department of Las United NationsMcKenzie Stubbert, immersive composer and creator of the soundtracks for films such as “Evolution of Verse”, “Clouds over Sidra”, “Life of Us” and “The Displaced”; and Jeremy Boxer, filmmaker and former creative director of Vimeo.
The event will feature several additional spaces such as Realities+D, where a selection of the best virtual reality projects presented at Sundance and Tribeca will be presented, and the Sónar 360 dome by Movistar+, which will allow attendees to discover the immersive work of the Société des Arts Technologiques de Montréal.
Sónar+D is also endowed with the Market Lab, the StartUp Garden and several exhibition spaces and networking activities for the creators, businesses, labs, and startups to present their projects to the more than 4,500 delegates professionals and 40,000 visitors, who are expected to attend the event.
The congress, Sónar+D, will open its doors in Barcelona from 14 to 17 June.
