Developers can now opt for the new program from HTC and Amazon, which will allow them to reach more potential consumers.
HTC has announced a new initiative in collaboration with Amazon by which those titles published in Viveport can choose to appear listed in the Amazon store as if they were just another product with its detail page included. This means that games and apps published in HTC’s content store will have greater visibility, as they could also appear in related articles on HTC’s devices sold through Amazon.
“Eligible Viveport titles will be selected to appear on Amazon in the coming weeks. As with any other Amazon product, Viveport content on Amazon will have its own detail and analytics pages, and can be found through search. People looking for Amazon Marketplace products, including HTC VR devices, will be able to see Viveport titles in the “Customers who bought this product also bought” section, they explain.
Developers interested in the new HTC and Amazon program can register those titles they have published on Viveport through the “opt-in” page of the platform. The first content will start appearing on Amazon in the coming weeks. As for users, the content they purchase will be automatically added to their Viveport account.
