Hyper Dash is a new and dynamic multiplayer shooter available on SideQuest, which allow cross-play with PC VR headsets.
The game supports matches of 5 against 5 in VR, where viewers can enter without a headset. Participants without VR control a drone, which can be seen in the game. Currently the game has eight weapons, and they are all one-handed, so you can use two weapons at the same time. The game has three modes:
- Payload — similar to Overwatch and Team Fortress 2
- Domination challenges the teams to get three points and hold them for five seconds to win, and the first team wins three points
- Capture Point is the mode in which you try to keep the dot in the center of the map for 300 seconds.
The game combines several systems of movements, including smooth movement and movement along the rail, allowing you to quickly navigate through the map after respawning. There is also the mechanics of teleportation, described as the main method of transportation in the game, but it is limited to three divisions simultaneously. Division restored, and it is possible to increase it to five with pickups located around the map.
“You can direct your arc preview to the place where you want to teleport. If you release the button you will be transferred to the allocated place in fractions of a second, — said the developer of Triangle Factory dzheroen DESSO . “Teleport leaves a visible trail, so players can see where you went”.
Not yet determined the cost of the final version of the game, but it will be paid, when it is finished, and the developers say that Facebook gave them the opportunity to go to the end of Quest Oculus Store.
“We will continue to work on the game, we will take community feedback and release a new build at the end of each month, until you release the game,” says DESSO
You can find a version of the game for the PC which should work with headsets Oculus Rift and SteamVR on the game server shell. You can also find the version of Hyper Dash on the SideQuest.
