VRClay is a modeling software that use Oculus Rift and Razer Hydra to shape a piece of virtual clay. We can use both hands to let out that artist that we all carry inside and even print our work with a 3D printer.
VRClay includes tools for pushing, pulling, smoothing and smoothing the surface, as well as moving it freely in the space in front of us. The stereoscopic vision and the absolute positioning of the Oculus Rift allow us to feel the scale and depth of our work as we sculpt it. It uses its own 3D engine developed in C++ and it is possible that in the future it can be used with other drivers. The created objects can be exported in OBJ format, with which we could print them directly in 3D if we have the appropriate hardware. A beta can be downloaded on the official website.
