The VRGE team is looking for support for their base station that allows us to have our virtual reality hardware organized and load the motion controllers in turn.
VRGE is a solution to protect and organize virtual reality hardware, and recharge those devices that require it. It consists of a base station with an attractive design that we can place on a table or anchor to a wall, being easy to install and use. The station on the wall allows the visors to be placed downwards to protect the lenses from light and dust, without applying any tension on the fabric, foam or elastic components in order to prolong their life. The central cavity is designed for different sizes of viewfinders to enter, also allowing the storage of a gamepad or headphones. The contact surfaces are made of soft touch materials to avoid damage to our hardware or table.
We can use it with HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR, having everything easily accessible to have the motion controllers and the HMD at hand. In the case of Rift and PSVR, we will need some adapters to place the controllers on the sides, which are included if we purchase the corresponding pack. The station measures 36 cm long, 16.5 cm wide and 6.8 cm high, is made with a wooden top and a plastic base and has a total weight of 1 Kg. Its price is 79 dollars and the estimated delivery date is April. It can be purchased until February 16, the day on which the campaign ends, which aims to raise $ 30,000.
