VUE VR is a walker manufactured by the Chinese company VUE Electronic Technology that requires special shoes for its use and allows walking, running, bending and jumping.
The VUE VR walker, compatible with Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, incorporates a concave surface that facilitates a smooth and natural movement to carry out actions such as walking, running, bending or jumping. The user is supported in the walker through two belts fixed to a rotating central bar that is always behind him, without preventing him from making movements with our arms. The device is able to recognize different walking speeds, and it works with any gamepad-compatible game.
VUE VR can be used by players who measure between 1.42 and 1.95 meters, with a maximum weight of 130 Kg. Once mounted, its base measures 1.23 meters in diameter and has a height of 2.20 meters and a weight of 160 Kg, so it is not a device that we can install anywhere. The peripheral integrates different sensors for tracking such as accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer, and requires for its use special shoes that have low friction wheels that stabilize our footsteps.
It can be pre-purchased for $699, and shipments will begin within a month. VUE VR includes the walker, a pair of special shoes, a pair of tracking devices to be placed on the shoes, a one-year warranty and a game disc. The shipping costs for Spain are estimated between 150 and 250 dollars, not counting the possible increase due to customs. In addition, in the store you can also buy other devices such as a machine gun and even an HMD with the same characteristics as an Oculus Rift DK2.
