Dynatrace Extends Application Security Module Vulnerability Detection for .NET Applications

Only a short time after the implemented support of Kubernetes and Node.js also wants to provide Dynatrace with automated vulnerability management for .NET applications . According to Dynatrace’s patented OneAgent technology, customers get all the features through an all-in-one platform.
Because the application security module covers the entire software development lifecycle, DevSecOps teams should be able to react particularly quickly to vulnerabilities. Vulnerabilities are discovered in cloud – native production and pre-production environments during runtime.
Intelligent runtime analysis, filtering and automatic prioritization are designed to prevent false positives. Risks are prioritized by data access path and actual production execution, while the affected service flows are automatically highlighted. Vulnerabilities with high priority can therefore be remedied first.
The urgency of a vulnerability is measured by its CVSS value (Common Vulnerability Scoring System) and other aspects such as disclosure on the Internet or affected entities. At the application level, the module provides insights into individual requests and individual transactions in order to be able to accurately break down the activities in a user session.
