WhatsApp, the popular messaging application, is in the process of implementing a feature long requested by its users: the ability to edit messages.
According to new information revealed by WABetaInfo, Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, is working on this feature that resembles the message editing option recently launched by Apple in its iMessage messaging service for iPhone, iPad and macOS devices.
Meta is about to launch the message editing option in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android. Once it is available, users will be able to edit the messages sent within a certain time window, possibly with a limit of 15 minutes.
In the Android version, the option to edit messages will appear in the menu that is displayed when selecting each message. In the case of iPhone, you can edit the messages by long-pressing on the message in question.
The introduction of this feature will allow users to correct errors or make modifications to your messages after having sent them, thus avoiding awkward situations or misunderstandings. In addition, it will provide greater flexibility and control over the content shared on the platform.
