Server room with cloud infrastructure
Also from the parent company of Lidl and Kaufland there is now cloud storage space and computing power.
Düsseldorf The Schwarz Group has been offering products for several weeks that you would not expect from a trading company: the parent company of Lidl and Kaufland has developed a cloud platform under the name Stackit. Since the end of the test phase, customers have been able to access storage space and computing power, databases and analysis tools in two data centers.
Now the group wants to invest massively in marketing. “In the next three to six months, we will be running a nationwide campaign,” announced Rolf Schumann, Head of Digital, in an interview with Handelsblatt. The costs are likely to amount to several million euros – the family company, which is known for its secrecy, does not give exact figures.
