A new period in which, in addition to the rise of Windows MR, Rift continues to rise and both Vive and Vive Pro get growth.
The latest results of the optional survey of Steam on hardware and software for the month of October show how the Windows MR viewers continue to increase slightly (for the sixth consecutive month) their share in the platform, being on this occasion an increase of 0.48% to achieve a total of 7.7%. The standard edition of Vive, which had been four months in a row lowering its percentage, grows again with 0.34% to add a value of 42.7%, an amount that even adding the Vive Pro viewers (2.27%) serves to unseat Rift as the most popular viewer on Steam, which has been going on for 9 months and that this month slows its growth streak with a reduction of 0.88%.
Windows MR continues its growth for the sixth consecutive month.
Looking at the statistics for all Steam monthly active users (which Valve recently stood at 90 million), this last period has seen an increase of 0.01% to reach 0.73%. Here also stands out, in addition to what was mentioned with Windows MR, a 0.01% increase for Vive Pro.
