Women more often than men take credit for smartphones| 08.10.2019
To study were studied the statistics on applications for POS-credits to smartphones since August 2018 and August 2019, depending on the gender, age of customers and seasonality.
According to the Bank statistics, women are more likely than men to make applications for smart phones on credit, although the gap with men was only a few percent. So, they accounted for 51% of all decorated
applications.
The most active buyers of smartphones on credit – customers are 26-35 years old. This age category accounted for 36% of all loan applications on these gadgets, 26% – clients of 36-45 years. Next in order
descending order are the representatives of the following age groups: young people 21-25 years, the segment of 46-55 years, finally customers 55+.
The total seasonal demand for smartphones, according to the Bank Russian Standard, traditionally falls on the second half of the year. Experts believe that this is due to the fact that most top manufacturers
release a new phone in the fall, so the excitement usually starts in August (when producers begin to hold stocks, and older models are losing in price) and lasts until the end
year. The peak of activity to December, as in the pre-Christmas period, many shops offer beneficial promotions and discounts. On the second place in popularity – August, on the third November.
