In Mexico there is a convenience chain that works for almost everything: you can buy products, recharge your cell phone, make deposits, receive packages from Amazon and now even pay for Nintendo eShop cards!
Through a press release, Nintendo confirmed that users in Mexico can now pay for their eShop cards on OXXO. To do this, they simply have to find the gift card they prefer ($100, $200, $500 or $1000 MXN), add it to the cart and checkout. Afterwards, they should only use the code to pay at an OXXO checkout, either by card or cash.
This is a great new option for people who want to add funds to their Nintendo account to buy some digital title, but are not particularly comfortable with adding their card information to the eShop.
On the other hand, it must be remembered that there are already prepaid eShop cards available in some OXXO, but they have some inconveniences. To begin with, there are only $200 or $500 MXN cards, so if the user wants to put less money into his account, it is not possible. In addition, the buyer is also subject to availability: if the cards have already run out, the player must go to look for them in other stores.
Nintendo’s goal, clearly, is to offer more options for players to be able to add funds to their accounts.
